Leaving the city behind, we headed to our next stop – the Caracasbai viewpoint, undoubtedly one of the hidden charms in Curacao!. Many people are seated in a crowded dining area of the Old Market. They are eating local cuisine of the Caribbean, including Iguana Stew. This location is a hidden charm of Curacao.

More on the Return

We opted to continue and returned with our guide, which allowed us to move forward and sit in the middle of our small bus. Our guide continued to show more of the island, and pointed out places we might like to explore further, such as Fort Nassau, Mikve Israel-Emanuel Synagogue, the tallest bridge in the Caribbean – the Queen Juliana, rising 185 feet! And lastly, we arrived at Old Market where we could enjoy local cuisine including Iguana!

Unquestionably, we felt the cost was worthwhile. Luckily were able to get seats on these commonly filled tours. We recommend booking in advance, traveling early in the day so you have plenty of time at the beach and bring extra money for shopping on the tour and while in Mambo.
